Drugs road show aims to raise drugs awareness amongst young people in the High and Middle schools in Harrow, and get them thinking about the affects that drugs could have on them and the people around them.

This is done through leading interactive lessons with pupils in the schools in Harrow. The sessions usually focus on looking at the affects of the most common drugs in today’s culture. Lessons are lead by youth workers and a number of peer leaders who have been trained in drugs awareness.

The peer leaders are involved with all aspects of planning and leading the sessions, and some of them share personal experiences of how drugs may have affected them in the past. The Drugs Road Show team have recently led sessions in Rooks Heath High School, Bentley Wood High School, Shaftesbury High School, Nower Hill High School, Cannon Lane Middle School and Grimsdyke Middle School.
Drugs Road Show is sponsored by Harrow Drug Action Team, who have a passion for decreasing drug and alcohol use and increasing drug awareness amongst young people in Harrow.
